Viejita Cichlid is one of the best  kept secrets when it comes to all of the apistogrammas. It is a colourful and calm cichlid that is fairly hardy and a good community fish. The male is a little larger and more colourful than the females and the fins are generally longer.
They like a densely planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places. We suggest you keep a few broken pots or caves within the tanks so that they have plenty of hiding spaces.
